‘𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦?⁣

If this sounds like you, it means that it’s time to clarify your hair!⁣

Clarifying your hair removes build-up from products, oil, or dirt that has been sitting on your hair ✨ It is necessary to have healthy hair & get the most of your curly hair products 👏🏼  I’d recommend clarifying every 10 days to 2 weeks. So here is how you can clarify:⁣

→ Use a sulfate free clarifying shampoo to cleanse your scalp without dehydrating your hair. My favorite clarifying shampoo is the As I Am Curl Clarity Shampoo.

→ Use Moroccan Clay or Bentonite Clay, mixed with a little bit of water. Apply to damp hair and let it sit for about 15-30mn. It gently cleanses your hair, brining shine and definition to the dullest strands 🍃⁣
Flora & Curl has a mix of amazing clays that you can use right here

→ Try the Apple Cider Vinegar rinse. Mix 3 tbs of apple cider vinegar (with the ‘Mother’) and one cup of water. Under the shower, pour the mixture on wet hair, and massage your scalp. Rinse and cleanse as usual!⁣

→ Some people use baking soda to clarify their hair, but I personally wouldn’t recommend it as it could make your scalp itchy and sensitive. If you want to try, mix 2 tbs of baking soda with 2 cups of water and pour over your hair. Massage scalp & rinse. ⁣
